Abor, one on the largest Communities in the keta Municipality is gearing up for a revolutionary change with the recently launched of its 24-hour Economy Market, a project poised to invigorate the local economy and create new opportunities for residents.

This innovative market aims to operate around the clock, providing a steady stream of jobs, boosting small businesses, and increasing revenue for the community.

The 24-hour Economy Market is expected to serve as a vibrant hub where entrepreneurs and consumers can connect at any time of day, fostering economic growth and enhancing the livelihoods of many in Abor. Local business owners are optimistic about the potential this development holds for economic diversification and community empowerment.

Officials and residents alike are excited about the prospects of this project, which promises to not only transform Abor into a bustling commercial center but also serve as a model for sustainable and inclusive urban development. The market’s inauguration marks a new chapter in Abor’s journey toward economic resilience and growth.

In related development, the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) is taking a significant step towards enriching pharmaceutical education in Abor with the establishment of the UHAS School of Pharmacy. This new institution is set to expand access to quality pharmaceutical training, build local capacity, and open doors for youth aspiring to enter the healthcare sector.

The UHAS School of Pharmacy aims to produce highly skilled pharmacists who can contribute to the health and well-being of the community. By offering comprehensive training programs, the school will empower young people with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare services.

This development is also expected to boost the local economy by attracting students, educators, and healthcare professionals to Abor. The initiative underscores UHAS’s commitment to health development and youth empowerment, promising a brighter future for the community through education and capacity building.
