‘The Ghana Medical Trust Fund is already transforming healthcare in Ghana”,, Adjoa Obuobia Darko-Opoku, the Administrator told MPs at Ho.

She said, under the Fund about 50 patients have received life-saving financial support during the pilot phase.

Also, the new Korle Bu Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory is already performing advanced heart procedures with help from the Fund.

Addressing Parliament’s
Majority Caucus Retreat in Ho, the Administrator said more cardiac centres are coming to Kumasi, Tamale, Ho and Sekondi with ” Hundreds of specialist nurses, doctors and pharmacists are being trained to bring quality healthcare closer to every Ghanaian”.

She reaffirmed that “Ghana Medical Trust Fund is no longer just an Act of Parliament but a functioning institution restoring hope and saving lives across Ghana.”
