GETFund on August 5, 2026 hosted the official signing ceremony for the AI Empowered Phase 2 Hybrid Rollout, marking a significant step towards strengthening digital and artificial intelligence capacity within Ghana’s education sector.
Held at the GETFund Boardroom, the ceremony brought together representatives from UNESCO, GETFund, KPMG, and the Ghana TVET Service, reaffirming their shared commitment to equipping educators and learners with the digital and AI competencies needed for the future.

The event was led by the Administrator of GETFund, Mr. Paul Adjei, and featured remarks from representatives of UNESCO, the Ghana TVET Service, KPMG Ghana, Microsoft Africa, and Tablet Academy. The programme also highlighted achievements from the first phase and outlined the roadmap for the nationwide rollout of Phase 2.
The ceremony concluded with the official signing of the Letter of Intent (LOI) between UNESCO and GETFund, paving the way for expanded collaboration to advance AI-enabled teaching and learning across Ghana.
