Minority Leader in Parliament, Osahene Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has donated GH¢40,000 to Tsiame Senior High Technical School to support the rehabilitation of the school’s boys’ dormitory.
The donation, made on Monday, was in response to an appeal from the school’s management for urgent support to improve accommodation for students.
In a statement, the Minority Leader said he was represented at the event by two members of his staff who presented the cheque on his behalf.
At a brief ceremony held at the school, the donation was received by the Headmaster, Ehiekpor Kwabla Kuma, on behalf of the school’s management.
The presentation was witnessed by a number of dignitaries including: Bernard Sukah, former Assembly Member ,Regent Torgbui Shikabli IV,
Regent Torgbui Dallah III, Dumega Seth Adonoo and Atsu Kovor, Head of Africanian Mission
The school authorities expressed appreciation to the Minority Leader for his timely intervention, noting that the support will go a long way to improve living conditions for students in the boys’ dormitory.
Mr. Afenyo-Markin has in recent months made several donations to schools and institutions across the country as part of his efforts to support education and infrastructure development.
