The Member of Parliament for Wa East, Dr. Godfred Seidu Jasaw, together with the District Chief Executive, Sayibu Adamu, have empowered 173 women in the Wa East District to acquire Business Certificates from the Registrar of Companies.
The beneficiaries acquired the certificates through the Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA) after a three-day intensive entrepreneurship training held at Manwe, Bulenga and Funsi. The training ended on September 5, 2026.
As part of their commitment to women empowerment, the MP and the DCE jointly supported the training with GH¢10,000, covering the feeding of participants and full payment for their Business Certificates.
Speaking at the programme, the Wa East GEA Coordinator, Mr. Adams, commended Hon. Dr. Jasaw and Hon. Sayibu Adamu for their visionary leadership and for fully sponsoring the training and certification, describing it as a true investment in the future of Wa East women.
The intervention, according to organizers, is a clear demonstration that the empowerment of constituents, especially women and youth, remains a top priority for the MP and the District Assembly.
Beneficiaries are expected to leverage their newly acquired skills and business certification to formalize and expand their businesses and access support from the GEA and other agencies.
