The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has nominated the Member of Parliament for Takoradi and Chairman of the Parliamentary Affairs Committee, Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, to represent him at the 11th Ghana-Nigeria Leadership Summit and Achievers Awards.
The prestigious event is slated for Saturday, September 5, 2026, in Lagos, Nigeria.
The summit, which brings together leaders, policymakers, business executives and achievers from both countries, is aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Ghana and Nigeria and celebrating excellence in leadership and development.
Hon. Okyere Darko-Mensah is expected to deliver a message on behalf of the Speaker on the topic:
“Africa unity and building a greater next generation of leaders and business people”
and participate in high-level discussions focused on parliamentary diplomacy, regional integration and good governance.
His nomination is seen as a recognition of his role as Chairman of the Parliamentary Affairs Committee and his experience in governance and legislative affairs.
