The Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has donated educational materials to all freshly admitted Senior High School (SHS) students from the constituency.

In a statement, the MP said his annual donation exercise for newly admitted SHS students was a resounding success this year.

According to him, all 2,269 students received chop boxes, mattresses and exercise books.

He added that hygiene products, including tissues and sanitary pads, were provided to all female students, while bicycles were donated to all 100 newly enrolled day students.

Mr Ablakwa said he was delighted to continue with the tradition, which he noted gets better every year.

“Absolutely delighted to continue with this tradition which gets better every year and ensures that we leave no student behind. Go make us proud,” he stated.

The initiative, under the #TogbeWorgbedziCares and #NorthTonguRising projects, is aimed at supporting students from the constituency as they transition to second-cycle education and easing the financial burden on parents.
