Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) hosted a six-member delegation from the Ministry of Finance for discussions on the refinery’s operations, financial position and development priorities.
The delegation was welcomed by TOR’s Technical Advisor, Nana Amoasi VII, who expressed appreciation for the visit and the opportunity to strengthen engagement with the Ministry.

Discussions focused on TOR’s operational challenges, potential government support and the refinery’s commitment to the Government’s 24-Hour Economy agenda. Management also highlighted TOR’s contribution to employment, including the creation of about 500 jobs over the past year.
The delegation also expressed interest in internship opportunities to gain practical experience in refinery operations and engineering.

Management welcomed the proposal, reaffirming TOR’s commitment to knowledge-sharing and capacity development.
The visit concluded with a tour of key facilities, including the Utilities, Tank Farm, New Safety Block, Quality Control Block and the F-61 Furnace at the Crude Distillation Unit (CDU), giving the delegation first-hand insight into the refinery’s infrastructure and operations.
TOR looks forward to strengthening collaboration with the Ministry of Finance and other stakeholders to support its operational development and contribute to Ghana’s energy security and industrial growth.
