Interior Minister, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak, has extended heartfelt Eid Mubarak wishes to Muslims in Ghana and around the world, emphasizing the essence of Ramadan and the importance of prayer, sacrifice, and unity within the Muslim community.

In his message, he reflected on the spiritual significance of the occasion, expressing gratitude to Allah for the strength and perseverance demonstrated by Muslims throughout the holy month of fasting.

“The heavens and the earth bear witness that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is the true Messenger of Allah. I extend warm Eid greetings to all Muslims across the globe. May Allah’s blessings be upon us all,” he stated.

Hon. Muntaka acknowledged the dedication of Muslims in observing Ramadan through prayer and fasting, while also appreciating the trust and support of Ghanaians for the government’s leadership.

“We give thanks to Allah for His grace and guidance, and we remain grateful for the trust placed in us by the people. May this leadership bring prosperity and blessings to our nation,” he added.

He further reaffirmed the government’s commitment to fulfilling its promises to the Muslim community. Highlighting a recent achievement, he noted that within three months, an additional public holiday had been instituted to mark Eid celebrations, fulfilling a key pledge.

“Our leader is dedicated to ensuring that every promise is honored, not by his own strength, but through Allah’s grace. We seek your continued prayers and support as we strive to build a stronger nation,” he assured.

The Minister also encouraged moderation and peaceful coexistence during the festivities. He urged Muslims to uphold the values of kindness and generosity, particularly toward the less privileged, and to maintain harmony in their communities.

“As we celebrate, let’s be mindful of those in need and extend a helping hand. Islam teaches peace and unity, so let us embody these values by supporting our neighbors, regardless of their religious background. We must also avoid activities that could disrupt public order,” he advised.

Wrapping up his message, Hon. Muntaka prayed for wisdom, good health, and strength for all Ghanaians, particularly the nation’s leadership, to guide the country towards development.

“May Allah bless us with wisdom, good health, and integrity in all we do. Let us continue to work diligently and truthfully. I pray that we celebrate many more Eids in the years to come. Eid Mubarak!” he concluded.
