The Savannah Regional leadership of the NDC Polling Agents Network (PAN-NDC) paid a courtesy call on the Savannah Regional Coordinating Council and officially submitted their notification letter as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the party’s grassroots organization.

The delegation, made up of key regional officers, was led by Haruna Yahuza, Regional Representative for PAN-NDC.

He was accompanied by his Deputy Nyadia Mukaila, Abu Alhassan (Regional Secretary), and Adam Anass (Regional Financial Officer).

They were warmly received by Sualisu Be-Awuribe, the Savannah Regional Minister, who doubles as the current Regional Secretary.

The Minister accepted the letter on behalf of Alhaji Seidu Imoro (affectionately called Man Blessing), the Regional Chairman, who is currently outside the country on official assignment.

In a brief interaction, the PAN-NDC team expressed their gratitude for the warm reception and used the opportunity to introduce themselves formally as the regional leadership of the NDC’s Polling Agents Network.

“The Minister was very receptive, his encouragement and positive attitude towards our mission boosted our morale,” Haruna Yahuza shared after the meeting.

“We see this as a sign that the party truly values the contributions of its grassroots, especially the polling agents.”

This move by the Savannah Regional team is part of a broader, coordinated initiative by PAN-NDC across the country. It follows similar engagements in the Greater Accra Region and other constituencies, where constituency and regional teams have reached out to party executives to announce their presence, seek recognition, and demonstrate their readiness to serve the party at all levels.

As a pro-NDC grassroots movement, the Polling Agents Network (PAN-NDC) is also using these engagements to remind party leadership of the vital role polling agents play during elections. The group is calling on the party and government authorities to prioritize sustainable employment opportunities and livelihood support for its committed agents who sacrifice tirelessly during electoral processes.

The PAN-NDC team emphasized that empowering polling agents is not only a matter of fairness but also essential to ensuring stronger structures and a more motivated electoral base ahead of any general and internal elections.
