She was warmly received by the District Chief Executive Ignatius Godfred Dordoe, who outlined notable achievements under his leadership including the restoration of grounded Assembly vehicles and the settlement of salary arrears.

The Regional Minister also listened attentively as she and the Directors highlighted pressing challenges confronting the district.

In her address, the Minister commended the Assembly for its commitment to good governance and development.

Madam Linda further drew attention to key priorities requiring urgent action:

● Reactivation of Regional Sanitation Day to foster a cleaner and healthier environment.

● Streetlight Installation and Maintenance to enhance security and night-time visibility.

● Strict adherence to DACF guidelines, ensuring the Fund is utilized responsibly and transparently.

● Addressing Audit Infractions through stronger internal controls and accountability mechanisms.

● Assembly Members’ Allowances, which I described as a timely and deserving Government intervention.

She underscored the need for stronger collaboration between the DCE, technocrats and my office, particularly in aligning development projects and effectively coordinating NGO interventions, “I reiterated that staff transfers must follow due process and will not be tolerated if unwarranted”.

The visit formed part of the regional engagement tour aimed at strengthening cooperation, deepening accountability and advancing effective governance across Greater Accra.
