The Executive Director of Asharami Ghana, Adewale Ajibade, has commended the Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Mr. Godwin Kudzo Tameklo, Esq., for his role and support towards the successful arrival of Asharami Ghana vessel.
Mr. Ajibade made the commendation at the official welcoming ceremony of the vessel and the commissioning of the Asharami Ghana LPG facility at the Tema Oil Jetty on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.
The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Energy and Green Transition, Dr. John Abdulai Jinapor, who served as the Special Guest of Honour, alongside the NPA Boss, and other stakeholders within the energy sector.
According to him, the guidance of the Mr. Tameklo helped transform their vision to reality.
“Thank you very much Mr. Tameklo, I acknowledge you specifically for you role, support and for tolerating us, not necessarily bending the rules, but accommodating some of those shortcomings and ensuring that this happened, Your guidance and unwavering support helped transform this aspiration into a reality” Mr. Ajibade said.
The vessel, on its maiden voyage to Ghana’s shores, arrived with approximately 5,000 metric tonnes of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), which is expected to contribute to the availability of cleaner and more sustainable energy in the country.
