Zonda Tec Ghana has officially commissioned its ultra-modern branch and showroom at Dzorwulu, marking a major milestone in the country’s fast-growing automobile and equipment industry.
The ceremony, held on 19th November 2025, brought together key government officials, industry leaders, development partners, and customers, and also featured the grand unveiling of the Great Wall Tank 700 PHEV and the Souo Touring Motorcycle.
In her keynote address, the Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, commended Zonda Tec for its bold investments and its contribution to Ghana’s industrial and automotive transformation.
She highlighted the company’s recognition as one of the top 100 performing firms in the country and praised its commitment to job creation, technology transfer, and high-value local assembly.
The Trade Minister expressed appreciation for the the company’s believe in Ghana and stressed that ” the huge investment made by the Zonda group is testament to the confidence in the government”.
” We are building an inclusive economy under President John Dramani Mahama for the benefit of all” she maintained.
“This magnificent facility stands as a shining example of what visionary private-sector investment can achieve,” she stated. “Zonda Tec has elevated the standard of automotive excellence in Ghana while creating jobs, transferring technology, and strengthening the Ghana-China partnership.”
The Minister also revealed that the Ghana Automotive Development Policy is undergoing review to fully incorporate Electric Vehicles (EVs) and hybrid vehicles into the national automotive framework—an initiative she believes will enhance affordability, support local assembly, and contribute to climate-friendly development.
Madam Yang Yang, the CEO of Zonda Tec Ghana, described the new Dzorwulu Branch as the company’s latest commitment to modern, customer-centered service delivery.
The facility includes a welcoming reception area, an advanced showroom, a state-of-the-art service center, and a fully stocked spare-parts hub.
She used the opportunity to express her deepest appreciation to the Minister for Trade, Agribusiness & Industry Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, for her tireless support and hardwork in ensuring that the establishment of the facility and the new fleet comes to fruition.
She again emphasized that the branch’s strategic location which is now more accessible following the expansion of the Tema Motorway will make it easier for contractors, miners, logistics companies, and families to access Zonda Tec’s range of products including heavy-duty machinery, luxury SUVs, light-duty vehicles, and premium motorcycles.
Zonda Tec, she disclosed, now operates over 10 branches nationwide, employs more than 600 Ghanaians, and has already built two assembly plants, with a third focused on electric vehicles which is set for completion in march, 2026.
The company, the CEO said continues to invest in youth skills through technology transfer and training in modern automotive engineering.
“As we grow, we build Ghana,” Madam Yang said. “Everything we produce carries our commitment: Built in Ghana. Building Ghana.”
The event concluded with commendations from government officials and industry partners who praised Zonda Tec for its sustained investments and alignment with national development priorities. Guests were treated to the official unveiling of the Great Wall Tank 700 PHEV celebrated for its engineering excellence, hybrid efficiency, and adventure-ready design—and the Souo Touring Motorcycle.
Both products, leaders believe, represent a new era of advanced, environmentally conscious mobility options for the Ghanaian market.
Zonda Tec affirmed its readiness to continue contributing to Ghana’s industrialization drive, expand its workforce, and consolidate the nation’s position as a competitive manufacturing and automotive hub in West Africa.
