Standing by his flagship slogan and programme, “Big Push,” President John Dramani Mahama has ensured that he does not only walk the talk, but also ensures that this big push programme pushes big, if not bigger.
Subsequently, in less than one year, the programme has attracted over 50 road projects for constructors nationwide.
The Minister of Roads and Highways Kwame Agbodza has disclosed that a total of fifty (50) Road Projects covering about One Thousand One Hundred and Forty Four (1,144) kilometres nationwide have been awarded under the Big Push Infrastructure Programme.
According to him, the programme aims to accelerate road development and improve the country’s highway network for easy movement of goods and people.
“Government’s Big Push Infrastructure Programme is aimed at restoring critical roads, opening economic corridors, creating jobs, and reducing the cost of doing business”, Kwame Agbodza added.

Vice President, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang paid a working visit to his Ministry to ascertain the progress of works under the Big Push Infrastructure Programme
The Vice President’s visit is in line with government agenda to enhancing infrastructure to boost economic activities and connectivity across Ghana with special interest in the Road Sector.
