The Member of Parliament for the Daffiama/Bussie/Issa Constituency, Dr. Sebastian N. Sandaare, has donated educational and office equipment estimated at GH¢300,000 to the Daffiama Technical Institute and Bussie Technical Institute.
The donation is aimed at improving teaching and learning, enhancing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) education, and strengthening administrative operations at the two institutions.
The items donated include sets of desktop computers and laptops, printers and photocopiers, file cabinets and other office accessories, streetlights, as well as additional learning support materials.
Presenting the items, Dr. Sandaare, MP for Daffiama/Bussie/Issa Constituency, said technical and vocational education was an important component of national development, particularly in equipping young people with practical skills for the job market.

He said providing the necessary equipment and resources to technical institutions would help create an enabling environment for students to acquire relevant skills and improve their prospects for employment.
Dr. Sandaare further said the initiative was in line with the NDC Government’s stated commitment to quality education under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama.
Receiving the items, the District Director of Education, Madam Saadia Gbolo, expressed appreciation to Dr. Sandaare for his continued support towards education in the district.
She subsequently handed over the items to the principals of the two institutions—Mr. Michael Kombor, Acting Principal of Bussie Technical Institute, and Mr. Datoah Sebastian, Principal of Daffiama Technical Institute.

The two principals expressed their profound gratitude to Dr. Sandaare, noting that the items had arrived at a time when the institutions needed them most.
They assured that the equipment would be used judiciously and for its intended purpose to support teaching, learning and administrative activities.
The short ceremony was witnessed by traditional rulers, staff of the Ghana Education Service, the Presiding Member and other stakeholders.
The donation is expected to strengthen ICT education, improve administrative efficiency and provide additional support for skills development at Daffiama Technical Institute and Bussie Technical Institute.
