The Member of Parliament for North Tongu Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has lauded the government’s efforts to boost infrastructure in his Constituency and the Volta Region at large. Mr Ablakwa expressed gratitude to President John Mahama and the Minister of Roads and Highways, Kwame Agbodza for their commitment to delivering critical road projects that will transform the constituency.

Conducting an on-site assessment of the upcoming Mepe-Sege road project, a 31.2-kilometer stretch awarded to Messrs Shenashe Limitedm, the project, with designs and site preparations now complete, is set to commence construction soon and expected to be completed within 24 months the MP expressed joy over the speed so far.

According to him, “this strategic road will significantly improve economic activities, facilitate access to essential health facilities like Battor Catholic Hospital and Mepe health center, and establish a vital agricultural corridor to support our farmers,” stating that the road is poised to boost trade, health, and agriculture—cornerstones of North Tongu’s development.

Beyond the Mepe-Sege road, several other key infrastructure projects are underway, including:

– The Volivo to Dorfor Adidome Bridge

– Juapong-Podoe-Abutia Road

– Frankadua-Podoe-Adidome Road

– Aveyime-Asutsuare Road

– Completion works on the Juapong-Volo-Adidome Road

Ablakwa affirmed his commitment to continue lobbying for more strategic projects to uplift North Tongu. “Together, we shall transform our beautiful constituency into a thriving hub of development and prosperity,” he declared.

These initiatives mark a new era of infrastructural development for North Tongu, promising to enhance connectivity, economic growth, and access to vital services for residents.
