The Member of Parliament for Okaikwei North and Member of the Local Government and Rural Development Committee, Hon. Theresa Lardi Awuni has called on the management of the Suaman District Assembly to urgently ensure that funds meant for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) under the apprenticeship programme reach the intended beneficiaries.
She urged the Assembly to provide evidence of the disbursement for verification and ensure that the funds reach the right people, stressing the need to promote the inclusion and well-being of PWDs.
She made the call when the Suaman District Assembly appeared before the Committee to present its 2025 Annual Statement by the Audit Committee.
The public hearing brought together Regional Coordinating Councils (RCCs) and Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) from the Western and Western North Regions.
