The Aiders Hub Foundation has launched a fundraising initiative worth over GH¢500,000 aimed at providing financial assistance to patients battling medical conditions while facing the burden of costly surgeries and other forms of medical care.

While briefing journalists on the project at the National Mosque in Accra on Sunday, March 16, 2025, the Director of Aiders Hub Foundation, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Hassan, stated that once the fundraising is completed, the foundation will function as a referral center, providing subsidized medical financial services to underprivileged patients.

A High-Profile Launch Event

The launch was attended by Imams, board members, professors, and researchers from leading hospitals, bringing together one of the largest gatherings of influential leaders.

Key highlights included presentations on the activities of the Aiders Hub Foundation, a demonstration of its support initiatives, and a video presentation showcasing the challenges faced by Muslims in pursuing their dreams due to medical burdens.

The event was held under the theme: “Health for All: A Clarion Call.”

Guest Speaker Emphasizes Clean Environment and Healthcare Access
The Guest Speaker, former Stanbic Bank CEO Alhassan Andani, praised the foundation’s strong research network and its commitment to providing healthcare support.

According to him, a nation can only develop when its environment is clean and its people are in good health. He emphasized that improving the productivity level of the nation hinges on maintaining a clean environment and urged Muslims to actively participate in ensuring public hygiene.

“It was fantastic to meet everyone and learn about all the inspiring projects going on at the Aiders Hub Foundation,” he remarked.

The former Stanbic Bank boss also called on Muslims to support government efforts in delivering quality healthcare services, such as vaccinations, urging Muslim communities not to ignore government vaccination programs.

Expressing gratitude for the opportunity to serve as Guest of Honor, he reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the smooth operation of the NGO.

Unity and Commitment from Islamic Organizations

Among the attendees were representatives from the Zakat Trust Fund and the Islamic Medical Association, who used the occasion to promote love, unity, and faith in God.

Speaking to journalists, Mohammed Yussuf, a member of the association, emphasized the importance of unity in times of crisis.

“We need to put aside our differences and come together to achieve a common goal. I am happy that this is exactly what is happening today,” he stated.

Conclusion

The Aiders Hub Foundation’s GH¢500,000 initiative is expected to provide critical financial relief for patients in need of expensive medical procedures. With the support of government agencies, private donors, and the Muslim community, the foundation aims to make quality healthcare accessible to all, particularly the underprivileged.
