Residents of Akatsi North will see 10 development projects commissioned and sod-cut this week as the District Assembly partners with the office of MP Peter Nortsu-Kotoe to expand access to water and information services.
The two-day exercise, announced by the Akatsi North District Assembly and Hon. Nortsu-Kotoe, will be led by the MP and DCE Hon. Bless Kodjo Katamani. It runs Wednesday, June 17 and Friday, June 18, 2026.

Day 1: Wednesday, June 17
- 10:00am – Commissioning of 1 mechanized borehole with concrete stand, tank & pipelines at Kpohe
- 11:00am – Commissioning of 1 Information Centre at Ave Wukpe
- 12:00pm – Commissioning of 1 mechanized borehole at Ave Kpeduhoe
- 1:00pm – Commissioning of 3 mechanized boreholes at Ave Senior High School, DCE & DCD’s bungalow, Avesco
- 2:00pm – Commissioning of 1 mechanized borehole at Ave Technical Institute, Avetech
- 3:00pm – Sod-cutting for drilling & mechanization of 1 borehole with 10,000L tank at Metsrikasa
- 3:45pm – Commissioning of 1 mechanized borehole at Atsata Bame
Day 2: Friday, June 18
- 10:00am – Commissioning of 1 mechanized borehole at Avega
- 11:00am – Commissioning of 1 Information Centre at Korve
- 12:00pm – Commissioning of 1 mechanized borehole at Agormor
- 1:00pm – Commissioning of 1 mechanized borehole at Avevoe
Focus on water & information access
Eight of the projects are mechanized boreholes fitted with concrete stands, storage tanks and distribution pipelines. The other two are Information Centres at Ave Wukpe and Korve, aimed at improving community access to information and digital services.
The MP and DCE are expected to use the events to engage residents on development priorities for Akatsi North.
