The Member of Parliament for Daffiama-Bussie-Issa has officially presented two brand-new motorbikes to the Daffiama-Bussie-Issa District Office of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO). This gesture underscores his unwavering commitment to disaster prevention, saving lives, and enhancing emergency response capabilities.
This timely donation comes at a critical period when the country is grappling with severe floods that have made life extremely challenging for many Ghanaians. In such circumstances, rapid response is essential to mitigate disaster impacts.
Prior to this support, the NADMO office in the district lacked any means of transportation. This made reaching disaster-affected or vulnerable areas virtually impossible, thereby hampering prompt emergency responses.
The addition of these motorbikes is expected to significantly improve staff mobility and bolster the effectiveness of disaster management activities within the district. This initiative demonstrates a strong commitment to disaster prevention and management, enabling NADMO personnel to serve constituents more efficiently, enhance service delivery, and better protect lives and property.
In a phone interview with Fmnewsonline, the MP urged the District Director and team to maintain the motorbikes properly and to utilize them strictly for official disaster management purposes, emphasizing the importance of responsible usage.
