The Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, James Gyakye Quayson (MP) led the delegation of Ghana to the Caucasus Investment Forum 2026 held from 28th to 30th April, 2026 in Mineralnye Vody, Russia. The Forum brought together government officials, investors and development partners from several regions to explore emerging economic opportunities.
The Forum served as a platform for exploring opportunities for joint ventures, technology transfer and capacity-building initiatives. Deliberations centred on the increasing significance of new trade corridors linking Eurasia, the Caspian and Black Sea regions, alongside growing interest in partnerships with emerging markets, particularly in Africa. Ghana’s stable political environment, strategic geographic location and investor-friendly policies were highlighted as key competitive advantages.
The delegation also engaged in a number of high-level discussions and networking sessions with policymakers, financial institutions and private sector actors in sectors including infrastructure, energy, tourism, agriculture and innovation. Ghana continues to strengthen its global presence while pursuing practical pathways to attract investment, generate employment and accelerate sustainable development.
