The Minister of Energy and Green Transition John Jinapor, has commended Italian oil and gas giant ENI for reversing production decline and recording strong performance in Ghana’s upstream petroleum sector.

Speaking after receiving a delegation from ENI led by Guido Brusco, Chief Operating Officer of Global Natural Resources, the Minister said the company has achieved significant milestones including the successful drilling of new wells and record gas production of 282 MMSCF, which is supporting power generation in the country.
According to Hon. Jinapor, ENI has also maintained an outstanding operational reliability of over 99.9%.

The meeting discussed ongoing exploration activities, including key appraisal wells, as well as future investment plans and potential field extensions.
The Minister reaffirmed Government’s commitment to maintaining a stable, transparent, and investor-friendly environment to encourage responsible investment, expand production, strengthen energy security, and deliver lasting benefits for Ghanaians.
“I look forward to continued collaboration with ENI and all our industry partners as we work together to maximize the value of our nation’s natural resources,” Mr. Jinapor stated.
