A team from the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP) has held a meeting with the facilitators supporting the review of the Programme’s Policy Document.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the facilitators to brief the GSFP team on progress made so far and share key areas emerging from the review. The GSFP team, in turn, provided inputs and highlighted key issues and priorities it would like to see incorporated into the revised policy document.
Addressing the meeting in Accra, the GSFP National Coordinator Hajia Fati Forgor reiterated her commitment to strengthening the implementation of the programme. She said so far, the programme is witnessing significant improvement in the delivery of its core mandate to the beneficiary pupils and stakeholders.
Hajia Fati also underscored the significance of the policy document. She said as part of efforts to reset the GSFP, her outfit would
collaborate closely with the relevant stakeholders to ensure the policy review comes to fruition which would eventually inure to the progress and sustainability of the GSFP.
The National Coordinator once again commended the World Food Programme for their invaluable support for the policy review in particular and their technical assistance to the Programme in general.
The engagement formed part of efforts to ensure that the reviewed policy reflects the current realities, priorities and future direction of the Ghana School Feeding Programme.
Inputs emanating from the GSFP team and the facilitators would be consolidated and submitted to the Consultant working on the review for incorporation into the Policy document
