The Africa Development Council (ADC) in communique issued in Accra dated 1st May, 2025 has seen nothing wrong regarding removal of what they called “the most politically exposed Chief Justice in the History of Ghana”.

Accordingly to the Council, “the President of Ghana’s Action in Removing the Chief Justice, per the Council’s Analysis of Ghanaian Constitutional Provision on the said matter, has no Procedural Flaw”,

The Council used the opportunity to wish the President of Ghana good health, Wisdom and steadfastness.
Below is the full statement:

COMMUNIQUÉ

ADC’s Communique Over the President of Ghana’s Constitutional Mandated Action, Regarding Removal of the Most Politically Exposed Chief Justice in the History of Ghana.

The Africa Development Council (ADC), having observed elements of bias, in which some Professional Groups in Ghana, who lost their voices some eight years now, when Ghana was on collision course, but have suddenly regained voices; has come out with the following points in its Communiqué.

1) That, the President of Ghana’s Action in Removing the Chief Justice, per the Council’s Analysis of Ghanaian Constitutional Provision on the said matter, has no Procedural Flaw.

2) That, if a country’s Constitution does not clothe its President the power to hire & fire, then that Constitution is dead on arrival.

3) That, the Council advises the President to keep eyes on the set goals of ensuring a reset Ghana by the end of his tenure in office.

4) That, the Leadership of Ghana must ensure keeping the promise of Accountability of office holders, without fear or favour.

5) That, a State-led industrial economy, natural resources value addition, and restoration of dignity & national sovereignty, must be the Hallmark of this administration, bearing in mind, potentially well calculated diversionary tactics from opponents.

6) That, Ghana as a beacon of Hope within the subregion, must lend its support to the Sahel States, most especially, Burkina Faso, as plans are hatched every hour to oust the current leadership in that country.

7) The Council wishes the President of Ghana good health, Wisdom and steadfastness.

Thank you.
