Effutu Member of Parliament and Minority Leader in Parliament, Osahene Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has expressed strong confidence that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) would secure a Parliamentary Majority if elections were held today.

Addressing members of the Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON), Afenyo-Markin called on the youth wing of the party to intensify grassroots mobilization and champion the party’s ideals not only all campuses but beyond.

According to him, it takes everybody especially the student group to campaign seriously to ensure this victory.

He stressed that Dr. Bawumia, the NPP leader is only one person and he cannot do it all alone.

In his address, Afenyo-Markin emphasized that the energy and dedication of young party supporters are vital to rebuilding momentum and ensuring victory in future elections. He urged TESCON members to unite, put aside internal differences, and work collectively toward the party’s resurgence.

The Effutu MP praised TESCON members for their unwavering commitment and highlighted their active involvement as key to the NPP’s future success.

He also took the opportunity to showcase some of the party’s achievements in Effutu, including the construction of police stations, modern school facilities, and ICT training centres, underscoring the tangible development the party has delivered.

Afenyo-Markin further remarked that the NPP inherited a struggling economy in 2017 but has since left behind a stronger, more resilient economic foundation, with notable improvements in GDP growth and development projects nationwide.

He called on party supporters to remain optimistic and focused, encouraging them to move beyond past disappointments and work tirelessly towards restoring the NPP’s political strength ahead of the 2028 polls.
