The Member of Parliament for La Dade-Kotopon and Deputy Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Madam Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, has supported female aspirants in the constituency with cash to aid their campaigns.
The MP made the donation to support their ongoing campaigns and also refunded the filing fees for all 13 female candidates aspiring for various positions at the constituency level.
Madam Sowah used the meeting to admonish the aspirants to conduct issue-based campaigns devoid of personal attacks.

She said it is important for all aspirants to maintain decorum and focus on ideas that will strengthen the party at the grassroots.
In order to maintain neutrality in the internal contest, the MP announced her decision to abstain from voting.

The women, on their part, thanked the MP for the gesture and promised to conduct themselves well on the ground to ensure peace and unity prevails before, during and after the elections.
