A total of 73 aspirants have been cleared to contest the upcoming National Democratic Congress (NDC) Ketu South Constituency elections after vetting and balloting.
This is contained in the official Vetting Results and Balloting Positions released by the party.
According to the document, 74 aspirants filed, but one aspirant, Tsewu Desmond Kwaku, who was vying for Secretary, was disqualified. One other aspirant, Zigah Reginald Edem, was qualified for Secretary as a sole candidate.
Breakdown of cleared aspirants:
Chairman: 4 aspirants cleared – Amedorme Sylvanus Yao (1), Dzila Bright (2), Kelie Elolo White (3), Ahorlu Ferguson Kwabla (4)
Vice Chairman: 3 aspirants – Sorokpo Daniel Jerry (1), Awuye John-Mark (2), Abelia Seth Kwasi (3)
Secretary: 1 aspirant cleared – Zigah Reginald Edem Kodzo (unopposed)
Deputy Secretary:2 aspirants – Atisu Napoleon (1), Agbotey Clemence Kofi (2)
Communication Officer: 2 aspirants – Kunya Cornelius Yao (1), Doe David (2)
Deputy Communication Officer: 3 aspirants
Constituency Organizer: 3 aspirants
Deputy Organizer: 3 aspirants
Treasurer: 3 aspirants – Sablah Cornelius Kofi (1), Ahadzi Rocky Selasi (2), Mikado Dora Dede (3)
Deputy Treasurer, Women Organizer, Deputy Women Organizer, Youth Organizer, Deputy Youth Organizer, Other Youth Rep, Zongo Caucus all cleared.
The biggest contest is for the Eight Other Members position, where 29 aspirants were cleared.
Notable among them is Mensah Francis Edzorna, Managing Editor of http://fmnewsonline.com, who picked Ballot No. 2.
Other aspirants include Nyarvie Richard Seyram (1), Kushiator Andrews Kwaku (3), Hlorgbe Hope Korshi (4), and 25 others through to Adadey Francis Kwasi (29).
Ketu South will be the only Constituency to hold the election on October 23, 2026 against the original dates-24/25 due to final funeral rites for the late Torgbui Addo, the paramount Chief of Klikor Traditional Area.
