President John Dramani Mahama is reported to have called Interior Minister Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak to his office to address concerns over the botched security services recruitment process and politucal twists attached to it.
The move comes amid widespread internal criticism and controversy over the fairness and transparency of the recruitment exercise.
Over 500,000 applicants are still reeling from the fallout, having paid approximately GH¢113 million for aptitude tests that many claim were flawed.
The Minority in Parliament is demanding answers – and refunds – as they push for the immediate suspension of the recruitment process.
The Interior Minister is expected to brief Parliament on the matter, with assurances from the Majority Chief Whip, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, that steps are being taken to address the concerns. But will it be enough to salvage the situation?
