The festival was celebrated under the theme: “Honouring Our Heritage – Safeguarding Our Future.”

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Agbeve pledged to work closely with the District Chief Executive to roll out a “Youth in Kente” initiative.

He said the program is aimed at protecting and promoting the traditional Kente weaving industry in the area.

The MP also hinted at plans to make Kente weaving examinable at Ho Technical University, a move he believes will formalize skills training and create more opportunities for young weavers.

“Our heritage is our identity. If we safeguard it today, we secure jobs and income for our children tomorrow,” he told the crowd.

Mr. Agbeve further preached unity as the key to development and called on the people to put their differences aside to push the constituency forward.
