The Ghana Black Stars have been honored with an official Congressional Proclamation from the United States House of Representatives, presented by Brendan F. Boyle in recognition of the team’s impressive performance and achievements at the FIFA World Cup.

The Proclamation was received on behalf of the Black Stars by Mr. Mark Addo, Vice President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), during the GHPAC Global Pitch Philadelphia Forum—a strategic trade and investment side event organized to strengthen economic partnerships between Ghana and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

The event formed part of the Embassy of Ghana in Washington, D.C.‘s broader commercial diplomacy strategy to leverage Ghana’s participation in the FIFA World Cup in the United States as a platform to promote trade, attract investment, expand business networks, and deepen economic cooperation between Ghana and key U.S. states.

Among the distinguished participants were Mrs. Florence Torson-Hart, President of the U.S.-Ghana Chamber of Commerce, Philadelphia; Congressman Brendan F. Boyle; the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Authority; and a representative of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority.
