Addressing the media in Accra, The A-G, Dominic Akuritinga Ayine has revealed that, significant work is going on about the investigation of the allegations of looting of state resources contained in the ORAL Report submitted to him on February 10, 2025.

He confirmed that investigations into National Service and Skytrain scandals will be concluded by the middle of April for prosecutions to begin.

In the NSS scandal, 8 suspects have been interrogated and a good number of them have cooperated with the NIB investigations. Indeed, “we now have evidence payments that were made into the accounts of the top executives of the NSS by vendors and staff of the Scheme. We also have evidence that in November 2024, the CEO and others paid a Ghanaian MP to kill the story in the media and to defend them. This is a developing story”.

In respect of Skytrain, he also confirmed that the $2,000,000 was paid at the request of the chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund (GIIF), Prof. Ameyaw Ekumfi, and the CEO, Mr. Solomon Asamoah who is currently hiding in Senegal.

“We tracked him first and noticed he had been in South Africa since February 2, 2025. There was no board approval for the transaction and the conditions precedent to disbursement had not been met. The other board members and our review of the minutes of the board of directors have confirmed this fact”.

He said, that when President John Dramani Mahama observed that the entire country was a crime scene, he knew what he was talking about, and “we are working diligently on several dossiers that will shock the conscience of the nation. If what Kwabena Adu-Boahene has done is like a Thriller in Manila, please brace yourselves for a Rumble in the Jungle in the next few weeks”.
