The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) is escalating its efforts to address allegations of drug trafficking involving two suspicious flights at Kotoka International Airport.
Deputy Director-General Alexander Twum Barimah has warned Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, Member of Parliament for Assin South, that authorities will take further action if he continues to refuse cooperation.
Twum Barimah revealed on Eyewitness News that NACOC has made multiple attempts to invite Fordjour for questioning through official channels, but he has consistently declined to respond. The situation has now reached a critical point, with NACOC considering more drastic measures.
โIf he goes on the path he is going, he will leave us with no option but to go for him,โ Twum Barimah stated.
The matter has transcended NACOCโs jurisdiction and now falls under national security agencies. Twum Barimah emphasized that NACOC is not acting alone, stating,
โThis is not just a matter of NACOC, it is a matter of National Security, and the coordinator is coordinating all the security agencies in this country.โ If Fordjour is to be arrested, it will be carried out by the relevant authorities.
