A new chapter of hope has been written in Jomoro as over 600 brilliant but needy students from 111 public and private schools have received full educational support through the Jomoro MP’s Scholarship Initiative.
The initiative is championed by Hon. Dorcas Affo-Toffey, Member of Parliament for Jomoro and Deputy Minister for Transport.
The event, held at Bonyere Junction, brought together chiefs, queen mothers, dignitaries, constituency executives, security agencies, parents, and hundreds of students, all united by one purpose—to invest in the future of Jomoro’s children.
This second edition of the scholarship programme demonstrates a firm and consistent commitment to education, empowerment, and equal opportunity for every child, regardless of background. Hon. Toffey has made education a central part of her service to the people, focusing on ensuring that no child is left behind due to financial hardship.
Traditional leaders and community members praised her efforts, describing the initiative as a true reflection of leadership that touches lives. They urged beneficiaries to study hard and make good use of the opportunity provided.
This initiative is expected to make a lasting difference in the lives of many poor and needy families across the constituency. It will ease the financial burden on parents, keep more children in school, and open doors of opportunity for a brighter and more secure future in Jomoro.
