In a significant development for Ghana’s economy, the price of fuel has dropped below GH¢10 for the first time in recent memory. At least 150 fuel stations across the country are now selling petrol at GH¢ 9.99, marking a notable milestone in the country’s ongoing efforts to stabilize and reduce fuel prices.

Hon. Edward Abambire Bawa, Managing Director and Group CEO of GOIL PLC, expressed gratitude for effective leadership in navigating this market shift. “This is the change Ghanaians voted for,” he stated, highlighting the positive impact of sound management and policies in stabilizing fuel prices.
Industry analysts and consumers alike are hopeful that under current leadership, fuel prices will continue to decrease further, with projections suggesting prices could break the GH¢8 threshold in the coming months.
This development comes amid broader economic hopes, with many Ghanaians seeing President John Dramani Mahama as a figure of hope for a better Ghana. The reduction in fuel prices is seen as a step towards easing the cost of living and stimulating economic activity.

As the nation celebrates this milestone, the focus remains on sustained leadership and policies that will continue to benefit Ghanaians economically.
