The Ghana Gold Board is expected to officially sign a gold refining agreement with Gold Coast Refinery slated for Tuesday, January 20, 2026 in Accra.
This partnership will stand for an important step in strengthening Ghana’s gold value chain, enhancing local refining capacity, and advancing the country’s broader industrialisation agenda.
The signing ceremony will take place at 10:00 am at the GoldBod Head Office, Accra.
Special Guest of Honour will be the Finance Minister,Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson (MP).

The agreement is expected to enhance Ghana’s position in the global gold market, with Gold Coast Refinery being Africa’s second-largest refinery, capable of refining 180 tonnes of gold annually.
