The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has held a strategic meeting with the 24-Hour Economy Authority to deliberate on the pilot implementation of the 24-hour economy programme within Ghana’s downstream petroleum industry.
The meeting, held on Thursday, 19 February 2026, was chaired by the NPA Chief Executive, Mr. Godwin Kudzo Tameklo, Esq.
The NPA team included Deputy Chief Executives Dr. Sheila Addo and Dr. Dramani Bukari; HR Director Mrs. Sedinam Afua Charity Mammara; Corporate Affairs Director Mrs. Maria Edith Oquaye; Director of Consumer Services Mrs. Eunice Budu-Nyarko; Director of Economic Regulation & Planning Abass Tasunti; and Heads of Department.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the Chamber of Oil Marketing Companies (COMAC), Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors (CBOD), and Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST). Officials from the Ghana Police Service and National Security were also in attendance.
In his remarks, Mr. Tameklo emphasized the committee’s commitment to ensuring the successful rollout of the 24-hour economy in the downstream petroleum sector, noting that every necessary measure is being taken to guarantee effective implementation.
