Minister Jinapor Praises Ghana Gas for Strong Performance in Energy Security and Industrial Growth

The Minister made the remarks on Thursday, July 30, while addressing the 8th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Ghana Gas held at the Palms by Eagles Conference Room, where shareholders considered the Company’s 2025 Annual Report and Financial Statements.

According to Hon. Jinapor, Ghana Gas achieved significant milestones during the period under review, recording growth in gas processing and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) production, while also delivering an impressive 97 percent increase in net profit.

He noted that the Company’s performance demonstrates its continued importance in supporting the Government’s Gas-to-Power agenda and ensuring a reliable supply of natural gas to power generation and other sectors of the economy.

“Ghana Gas delivered strong results, recording growth in gas processing and LPG production, alongside an impressive 97% increase in net profit. These achievements reaffirm the Company’s vital role in strengthening Ghana’s energy security and supporting the Government’s Gas-to-Power agenda,” the Minister stated.

While acknowledging the progress made, the Energy Minister urged Ghana Gas to remain focused on enhancing operational reliability, expanding critical infrastructure and pursuing sustainable investments to position the Company to meet Ghana’s increasing energy demands.

He added that a resilient energy sector remains essential to driving industrialisation, creating economic opportunities and supporting national development.

Hon. Jinapor assured that the Ministry of Energy and Green Transition would continue to collaborate closely with Ghana Gas to strengthen its capacity and ensure the Company remains a key driver of Ghana’s energy transformation.

The 8th AGM provided a platform for stakeholders to review Ghana Gas’ achievements, assess its financial performance and discuss strategic priorities aimed at sustaining the Company’s contribution to Ghana’s energy sector.
