President Mahama inspected the project as part of his accountability tour of the Northern Region during his recent tour to the area.
The Tamale 3rd Ring Road starts at the Kanvilli/Jisonaayili junction and passes through Tuunaayili/Kpawumo, Fuo-Taha, and the Vittin Barrier on the Yendi/Salaga Road. It continues through Banvim, Junshegu, and Dungu on the Techiman-Kumasi Road, extending to Dungu Kukuo and Shishegu on the Nyankpala main road.
It then proceeds through Kpalsi and Gurugu before returning to the Kanvilli/Jisonaayili junction on the Bolga Road.
Following an inspection of Lot 3 (Kanvilli to Vittin Barrier), currently being undertaken by M/S Munisco Ltd, President Mahama emphasized that the Tamale 3rd Ring Road will significantly enhance mobility, reduce congestion within the Central Business District, and stimulate economic development throughout the Tamale Metropolitan Area.
The President urged the contractors to expedite the work and ensure the project is completed on schedule.
