President John Dramani Mahama successfully concluded his #ResettingGhana Tour of the Volta Region, marking the end of two impactful days of engaging our people, inspecting and commissioning key projects, and reaffirming Government’s commitment to the development of our region.

Our final day began with an inspection of the Ho Sports Stadium, where His Excellency announced concrete plans for the reconstruction of a modern multi-sports facility on the existing site. He assured the people of the Volta Region that Government will make the necessary financial commitment to ensure the project commences as early as possible. The envisioned facility will cater for a wide range of sporting disciplines beyond football, creating greater opportunities for sports development in our region.
We then moved to the G.M. Afeti Auditorium of the Ho Technical University for the Resetting Ghana Citizens’ Engagement, where I had the privilege of presenting an overview of the transformative development projects across all eighteen (18) Municipal and District Assemblies in the Volta Region.

Sector Ministers also accounted for the progress being made by their respective Ministries, while His Excellency President Mahama presented a comprehensive account of his stewardship, engaged directly with our chiefs and people, and responded to questions from the good people of the Volta Region.
The tour concluded in the Akatsi North District with the commissioning of the new District Headquarters of the Ghana Police Service. This project holds special significance for me, as it was initiated during my tenure as District Chief Executive (DCE) of Akatsi North but was unfortunately abandoned after we left office in January 2017. It is therefore deeply gratifying to witness its completion through the efforts of the current District Chief Executive, Hon. Bless Kojo Katamani, and the Member of Parliament, Hon. Peter Nortsu-Kotoe, whose commitment ensured that the project was completed.

I extend my heartfelt appreciation to His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama, our traditional authorities, Members of Parliament, Municipal and District Chief Executives, the security services, party leadership, and the good people of the Volta Region for the warm reception and unwavering support throughout the tour
