The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), in collaboration with the Keta Municipal Assembly and the Member of Parliament for Keta Constituency, Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey, launched a relief distribution initiative for flood victims across the municipality.
The first phase of the relief efforts successfully covered four communities: Kedzikope, Horvi, Havedzi, and Seva. The distribution process was conducted peacefully and transparently, with beneficiaries expressing gratitude for the timely support that has brought much-needed relief to their households.
To bolster the ongoing relief efforts, Hon. Gakpey has contributed additional support to the second phase, including 250 bags of 25kg rice, 150 mattresses, 60 cartons of cooking oil, and 40 boxes of Wellington boots to aid affected families. He has also assured his commitment to supporting all flood victims within the municipality.

In a statement signed by Wonder Setsoafia Deynu KeMA Director of NADMO said appreciated the continuous support and commitment from Hon. Gakpey, as well as the contributions of individuals, organizations, and partners involved in the relief activities.
The authorities continue to call on the public, corporate bodies, NGOs, hospitality establishments, and other well-meaning individuals to join the humanitarian effort. They remain dedicated to reaching every flood-affected household with relief items and thank everyone for their patience, cooperation, and understanding.

Together, the community is working towards restoring hope and providing relief to every affected household in the Keta Municipality.
