South Dayi MP Rockson-Nelson Etse Kwami Dafeamekpor has been selected to receive the Distinguished and Dedicated Parliamentary Service Award at the 6th Ghana Minister of the Year Awards for his outstanding contribution to legislative work.

In a letter dated 28th May 2026, the Ghana Minister of the Year Awards Secretariat said the award recognises his “exceptional commitment to excellence in parliamentary duties, contribution to legislative processes, and unwavering dedication to representing the interests of constituents.”

The Board, Technical Panel, and Secretariat noted that his work in advancing debate, oversight, and development-focused initiatives has been set as a benchmark for impactful public service within Ghana’s Parliament.

Mr Dafeamekpor, who also serves as President of the Ghana Law Society, has been praised in recent months for championing student mentorship and pushing for an inclusive legal ecosystem beyond the Ghana Bar Association.
The MP has been invited to receive the honour in person at a ceremony scheduled for Saturday, 6th June 2026, 7:00 PM prompt at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel Convention Center, Accra .
The Ghana Minister of the Year Awards annually honours ministers, MPs and public officials whose service demonstrates excellence, accountability, and impact on national development.
