The Commissioner of the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), Aaron Kanor, has undertaken a maiden working visit to the Aflao Area to engage key stakeholders on ways to facilitate cross-border trade and enhance border security as part of revenue mobilisation efforts.
As a mark of respect for local authority and chieftaincy, the Commissioner paid a courtesy call on Torgbui Adzonugaga Amenya Fiti V, Paramount Chief of the Aflao Traditional Area. During the visit, he outlined his vision in his new role and discussed opportunities for collaboration to achieve national revenue targets.

As part of the tour, the Commissioner and his delegation held formal discussions with officials of Togo Customs at the Lomé border office. The engagement aimed to deepen collaboration between the two customs administrations, enhance border control, and clamp down on illicit trade activities.
He also held a meetings with officers of the Customs Division at Aflao, as well as other security agencies, including the Border Operations and Security Committee (BOSEC). The discussions focused on strengthening collaboration among sister agencies to create a united front in executing their mandates and promoting national security and development.
The Commissioner further addressed Customs officers at the Aflao Collection(Officers Mess), where he listened to their concerns and assured them that their feedback would be considered in efforts to improve working conditions and operational efficiency.
Some Collections and stations he visited include Dabala Collection, Ave-Havi Exit Point among others.
