President John Dramani Mahama will visit Fuveme in the Anlo Constituency on Wednesday, April 29, to assess the havoc caused by recent tidal waves and sea erosion along the coast.

According to a flyer issued by the Anlo Communications Outfit, the visit is scheduled for 10:00am at E.P Basic School, Atiteti.

The President is expected to observe the devastation firsthand, interact with residents of Fuveme, and discuss lasting solutions to the coastal erosion affecting Anlo communities.

Fuveme and other towns along the Keta-Anlo coastline have suffered repeated destruction from tidal waves in recent years, displacing hundreds and destroying homes, schools, and fishing infrastructure.

The visit comes as affected communities renew calls for sea defence walls and permanent interventions to halt the erosion.

President Mahama, described in the flyer as “The Nation Builder,” has previously pledged to prioritize coastal protection projects.
