The Member of Parliament for Salaga-South, Hon. Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, has visited Kakoshi to inspect the ongoing construction of a clinic with staff accommodation aimed at serving the community and its surrounding areas.
The project, which is expected to bring much-needed healthcare relief to residents upon completion, is part of broader efforts to improve access to quality health services across the constituency. The facility is designed not only to provide essential medical care but also to accommodate health personnel, ensuring that professional staff remain readily available to attend to patients.
During the inspection, the MP expressed her satisfaction with the pace and quality of work, commending the contractors for their commitment so far. She, however, urged them to maintain high standards and deliver the project within the expected timeframe, stressing that the people of Kakoshi and nearby communities were eagerly awaiting the clinic.
Hon. Zuwera highlighted the importance of the project, noting that many residents in the area currently travel long distances to access basic health services. “This facility, when completed, will ease the burden on our people and contribute to improving healthcare delivery for mothers, children, and the aged,” she said.
Community members who interacted with the MP during her visit expressed their appreciation for the project and were hopeful that its completion would transform healthcare access in Kakoshi and beyond.
The clinic is one of several development initiatives being undertaken in the Salaga-South constituency as part of the MP’s commitment to enhancing social amenities and improving the welfare of her constituents.
