President John Dramani Mahama is set to deliver his State of the Nation Address (SONA) to Parliament on February 27, 2026, where he will address several pressing issues, including the recent unrest in Burkina Faso where Ghanaian tomato sellers were killed.
In an interview with the Member of Parliament for Tamale North who doubles as the Deputy Minister of Roads and Highways
Alhassan Suhuyini President Mahama will also touch on peace in Ghana and the country’s position as a shining star in Africa and beyond.
This comes after President Mahama’s recent efforts to strengthen ties with Burkina Faso, including a meeting with Burkina Faso’s Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, to promote peace and stability in the region.
In his address, President Mahama is expected to highlight Ghana’s achievements and challenges, including the economy, security, and development.
The President is likely to emphasize the need for national unity and cooperation to overcome the country’s challenges.
