GMTFcare Goes Live at Ho Teaching Hospital: Staff Training Intensifies as Patient Onboarding Pilot Takes Off
The Ghana Medical Trust Fund (GMTF) is steadily turning vision into reality as its team, alongside dedicated software engineers, advances the installation of the GMTFcare system at Ho Teaching Hospital.

The ongoing exercise includes hands-on training for healthcare professionals and the pilot onboarding of patients; an important step toward a more responsive and efficient healthcare system.
This milestone builds on similar successful implementations at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Tamale Teaching Hospital, and Sunyani Teaching Hospital, all undertaken in preparation for the Trust Fund’s official nationwide rollout.
At Ho Teaching Hospital, the Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Hintermann Mbroh, speaking on behalf of management, staff, and patients, expressed deep appreciation to the Administrator of the Trust Fund and her team.

He noted that the initiative represents a long-awaited intervention—one that many had hoped for but never imagined would materialize so soon.
In response, the Administrator, Adjoa Obuobia Darko-Opoku, reaffirmed the Trust Fund’s unwavering commitment to delivering on its mandate.
She expressed satisfaction with the progress of the software installation, staff training, and patient onboarding, emphasizing that these steps are critical to transforming healthcare delivery across the country.
As these efforts unfold, the Ghana Medical Trust Fund continues to move forward with purpose and determination.
Step by step, it is redefining access to care and restoring confidence in the future of healthcare in Ghana.
With the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, hope is not just a promise; it is becoming a reality.
