Heeding the President’s call for the two-day national cleaning exercise, 9-10 July, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Juaboso, Alexander Adu Quist led his people to, not only undertake, partake, but also overdo the exercise.
Subsequently, the exercise did not only take place in the nooks and cranny of the township, but also along the banks of the two rivers in town—Bergamata and Wuhue Yaa, which had hitherto been polluted and contaminated. In the course, they (rivers) were disilted and dredged.

Gets Tough on Offenders Unhappy with the ill-treatment meted out to these two rivers of late, Chief Adu Quist took a stern stance against people who polluted and contaminated them (rivers).

In the course, about 37 people were arrested, dragged to court, and sentenced with community services to serve as a deterrent for others.
