The National Petroleum Authority (NPA), led by its Chief Executive, Godwin Kudzo Tameklo on Friday, 10 July 2026, joined the nationwide clean-up exercise declared by the President of the Republic as part of efforts to restore communities affected by the recent devastating floods and promote environmental sanitation.

Held under the theme “Our Actions, Our Future: Cleaning Ghana after the Floods,” the exercise forms part of Government’s post-flood mitigation measures aimed at reducing the risk of future flooding through collective action.
Management and Staff of the NPA cleaned the environs of the Authority’s National Head Office and sections of the Dzorwulu community, desilting choked drains, clearing gutters and sweeping surrounding streets, including portions of the George Walker Bush Highway.

The exercise was undertaken in collaboration with the Buz Stop Boys and was joined by Management and Staff of the Petroleum Commission, led by Deputy Chief Executive Nasir Alfa Mohammed. The team was also joined by the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon and Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Hon. John Dumelo.
Speaking after the exercise, the Chief Executive of the NPA, Godwin Kudzo Tameklo Esq., reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to supporting national initiatives that promote environmental sustainability and public safety, urging all Ghanaians to embrace responsible sanitation practices to help prevent future flooding.
