Dr. Gabriel Kwamigah-Atokple, Volta Regional Representative on the Council of State, has announced a strategic partnership between Sesi-Edem Co. Ltd, its US subsidiary Sesi-Edem LLC, and US-based Catalyst Green LLC.
The deal, revealed in a Facebook post, will introduce advanced biological agricultural solutions to Ghanaian farmers.

The technology targets soil health, root development, nutrient availability, and crop growth to improve productivity and restore soil performance.
“Agriculture remains the backbone of many countries and communities, and at Sesi-Edem, we believe the future of farming must be driven by innovation, technology, and sustainable solutions,” Dr. Kwamigah-Atokple stated.

He said the collaboration goes beyond yields. “Beyond agricultural improvement, this partnership seeks to create value, support skills development, and contribute to employment opportunities within the agricultural sector.”
Dr. Kwamigah-Atokple also thanked Dr. Brian K. Johnson, Board Chair of Sesi-Edem Group, saying a “decade-long relationship and shared vision have helped make this collaboration possible.”

The Council of State member expressed confidence that “private partnerships that complement government’s commitment to agricultural transformation” can build “a smarter and more sustainable future for agriculture in Ghana,” with meaningful impact for smallholder farmers facing declining soil fertility.
Catalyst Green’s biological solutions are expected to address soil degradation, one of Ghana’s key farming challenges.
